  1. deceptively simple. (Speaking as someone just realising how difficult hands are to draw - for me anyway.)

  2. Hands *are* tough. "Bridgman's Book of 100 Hands" is full of sketches of hands. Though it doesn't break the drawings down into simpler parts, he does discuss and illustrate their anatomy. Lots of sketches just focus on certain bits of hands.

    Historically, I've referenced my own hands in drawings, but the book is like having lots of different types of models available. And it shows them in positions you'd need a mirror for if you were using your own hand.
