Night aerobics

I started feeling feverish last night, so I opted to go to bed early (midnight instead of after two). I felt sleepy, so I thought it was going to work out fine, but I was wrong.

After rolling over twice, as per recent custom, I was unable to settle into a comfortable sleepy zone. Too many covers, not enough, pajamas pulling at my neck. I reached behind me and adjusted my long-sleeved tee, but it didn't help. I considered getting up, but I was tired enough that turning on a light sounded painful.

Throughout, my mind wandered a great deal.

After a couple hours of restless tossing and repositioning had elapsed, I decided that at least I was burning some extra calories. Aerobics for the insomniac: it's the wave of the future.

  1. Night aerobics . . . brilliant. Next time G.I. Guy complains about my tossing and turning I'll inform him it's essential to keeping my figure.

  2. i love this. you are totally onto something. ;)

  3. Can the Blogosphere be responsible for all the sickness going around. You... Rabbit... who's next?

  4. Rabbit: Exactly. I should partner up with a mattress company- I see king size sales going up.

Ms. Sizzle: It was honestly the best I've ever felt about a bad night's sleep, so I think I might actually be onto something. :]

Kevin: I know what you mean. It's like reading about other people being sick weakens your immune system. I'm feeling better today though, so hopefully this blogmoeba we all visit will be healthier for it. I promise to drink some juice!

  5. Between blogging, full time job, 5 kids and a hubby, I fall asleep the moment my head hits the pillow. Or before.

Gee... No wonder I've gained weight! ;)
