37. Amphigorey by Edward Gorey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I find this difficult to rate since it's a collection of 15 books and I definitely liked some more than others. Individually there'd be a few 2s, some 4s, and several 3s. His detailed ink drawings are a treat.
The Willowdale Handcar was my favorite story. One panel in particular delighted me most out of the whole compilation of books with a mention of glass telephone-pole insulators because I know exactly what they look like and they are freaking cool.
The Bug Book, The Gashlycrumb Tinies, and The Unstrung Harp were other faves.
