DVR or AI?

Should it worry me that I routinely say the following things?

Well, the DVR doesn't think it's a new episode tonight.
The DVR thinks Summer Show X is back on.
If the DVR behaved itself and recorded it, I'll watch it later.

This could be how Skynet starts, people. Why else would my DVR's model be an "Explorer"?
