To be fair...

At noon at the top of the hill, I heard the owl hooting. A few minutes later when I reached the other end of the street, I heard the rooster crowing.

Both seemed untimely, but to be fair, I'm not usually out at that hour either.

While it was great you put some sunscreen on your face before heading out into the bright sun, next time be sure to hit your ears as well!

Life of Art SitRep #426 Mamá Número Uno and Modern Graduation

It's been a busy week with a makeover for my store front and a lot of new products created. I'll sum some of those up with collections so as not to overwhelm you.

If you stop by Rocklawn Arts, you'll see new store category images. There are more categories than those I'm highlighting at the moment. If you click the Products tab, the Category dropdown menu, and then "See more," you can see every category even if I don't have an image for it yet.

Created a few Monogram Business Card Holders:

Life of Art SitRep #424 Graduation Gifts and Invitations

Front end/back end/archiving/education: this week have covered a wide gamut.

I finally finished going through photographs I shot earlier this month. Culled 6 more and rated the rest.

Revised tags, titles, descriptions for 5 photographs in my Rocklawn Arts store.

I created some variations of my recent graduation invitations, thank you cards, guest books, party supplies, and gifts including my first invites and guest books with 3 photo templates.

At Rocklawn Arts on Pinterest, I added new pins to the following boards: Marvel Comics and Movies, Home Decor Ideas, I Love The Beach, and created a new LGBTQ Pride Celebration Ideas board.

Watched a q&a and a Pinterest video. Learned a bit about Canva which seems like it might be easier than Photoshop for knocking out social media images.

How to Walk

How to Walk (Mindfulness Essentials, #4)6. How to Walk by Thich Nhat Hanh

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another slim mindfulness volume, this one focused on walking meditation. Again just reading a couple pages at a time was meditative for me. I really enjoyed this one.

Life of Art SitRep #423 Revisions

I thought revising titles and tags on products was something I could bust through a good chunk of in the course of a week. It has gone much slower than anticipated and there were distractions. I only managed to get through my folder of Flower Photographs. Still, it's further along than I was. I will keep at it during breaks from creating new designs to help people find my products more easily.

Shot 29 photographs, culled 7. Culled 51 from previous shoots and rated two of them. More to go!

Made some adjustments to my auto-twitter feeds to accommodate Twitter's updated rules, so my Rocklawn Arts blog posts will no longer autofeed to my personal twitter.

To see them, follow me @RocklawnArts on Twitter where I also post new products and designs as I add them.

Created a Pretty Flowers and Buds Spring Photo Mother's Day Card. The flowers are Epimedium, also known as Fairy Wings or Horny Goat Weed among its crazy common names:

Created a few Happy Mother's Day Acrylic Photo Blocks to which you can add your own photo:

Also created Painted White Curves on Violet Abstract Pattern and White Scrolling Curves on Black Abstract Pattern leggings:

Created a new store banner. Stop by Rocklawn Arts to check it out.

Created a Graduation Invitations, Thank You Cards, Guestbooks collection and a Customizable Graduation Party Supplies and Gifts collection:

Rocklawn Arts blogged Getting Ready for Graduation. Look for it next Tuesday on the Rocklawn Arts blog.

Added new pins to the following boards: Easter Celebration
Black and White Party Ideas
Home Decor Ideas
Ways to Resist
and started Mother's Day Gift Ideas.
